Job Description
- Monitor and maintain accurate stock records, including stock levels, receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
- Conduct regular stock reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and recorded quantities.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure accurate stock valuation and cost allocation.
- Implement and maintain robust stock control procedures and systems to optimize inventory accuracy and reduce stock losses.
- Coordinate and perform regular stock counts and cycle audits to ensure inventory accuracy and identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Analyze stock movements and usage patterns to support forecasting, budgeting, and inventory planning processes.
- Generate regular stock reports and provide insights into stock performance, variances, and trends for management.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting related to stock inventory.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide input on stock-related matters and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to stock control and inventory management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of proven experience in stock control function or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
