Job Description

General accountant 

• A general accountant establishes an integrated accounting system such as costs, budgets and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet and P&L accounts.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing process, including accruals and adjustments.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with local accounting standards and IFRS.
• Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies or variances.
• Maintain fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and related accounting entries.
• Collaborate with other finance team members on accounts payable, receivable, and payroll reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulations.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce 
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in general ledger 
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and formulas).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, meeting tight deadlines.
