We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team in the hardware and building materials industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role demands a thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and manage the company's financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable, and receivable.
  2. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with local regulations.
  3. Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
  4. Assist in budget preparation and forecasting, providing insights on variances and financial trends.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support for operational initiatives.
  6. Manage payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees.
  7. Oversee tax compliance, including the preparation and submission of tax returns.
  8. Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  9. Provide training and support to junior accounting staff as needed.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact the company's financial practices.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience as an accountant in a similar industry, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  2. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all financial reporting and documentation.
  4. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  6. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  8. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry best practices.
  9. Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  10. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
