Job Title - Accountant
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT filing, and financial analysis within a trading or similar business setup.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Handle bank reconciliations, supplier payments, and customer invoicing.
Monitor cash flow, manage petty cash, and ensure timely reconciliation of all accounts.
Oversee inventory accounting and ensure accurate valuation of stock and goods in transit.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with UAE tax laws and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
Support payroll processing and ensure accurate recording of employee expenses and benefits.
Maintain documentation and filing systems for all accounting transactions.
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and internal control.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 35 years of accounting experience in the UAE (preferably in trading, import/export, or general contracting).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and UAE VAT regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally / QuickBooks / Zoho Books / or equivalent).
Advanced MS Excel and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
