We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Al Kuwait, Kuwait. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial statements, managing budgets, and facilitating audits while maintaining the integrity of financial data. This position requires a thorough understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.Responsibilities: * Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against targets.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in tax planning and reporting.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, promoting professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business objectives.
Preferred Candidate: * Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all financial matters.
