Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience in a fit-out, construction, or contracting company within the UAE.
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, project-based accounting, and cost control.
Proficiency in Tally / QuickBooks / Zoho Books / ERP systems, and MS Excel.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently with deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
Maintain accurate books of accounts including general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and inter-company transactions.
Track cash flow and advise management on fund availability and financial planning.
2. Project Costing & Budget Control
Prepare project cost breakdowns, track actual expenses vs. budget, and report variances.
Review material purchase requests, supplier quotations, and subcontractor invoices for accuracy and approval.
Allocate project costs properly (materials, manpower, subcontractors, logistics, etc.).
Maintain cost control sheets for each project to support management decisions.
3. Billing & Receivables
Prepare client invoices based on project progress and approved valuations.
Coordinate with the project and contracts team for timely submission of invoices and supporting documents.
Follow up on outstanding payments, maintain aging reports, and ensure timely collections.
Record VAT transactions accurately and file VAT returns as per UAE Federal Tax Authority requirements.
4. Payables & Procurement Support
Verify supplier and subcontractor invoices against LPOs and delivery notes.
Ensure timely payments after internal approvals and compliance checks.
Maintain vendor records and monitor credit terms.
5. Payroll & HR Coordination
Prepare monthly payroll, including calculation of overtime, leave salary, and end-of-service benefits.
Process staff expense reimbursements and maintain employee financial records.
Ensure compliance with WPS (Wage Protection System) and UAE labour laws.
6. Auditing & Compliance
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit and provide necessary documents.
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Maintain organized records for audit and management reference.
