We specialize in delivering accurate, timely, and transparent financial information, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering productive partnerships and trust. Our commitment to precision and efficiency empowers strategic decision-making, and we leverage streamlined processes and advancing technology to create a foundation for financial sustainability and success. Our responsibility includes, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Management Reporting, Corporate & Business Units support, Controls, Business Improvement, and Outsourced Services.Job Purpose: To oversee the execution of core group-level reporting processes and procedures which support the consolidation and provision of group-level statutory and regulatory reporting across Mubadala in order to implement established statutory reporting frameworks to support the development of accurate, timely statutory reports and disclosures.Statutory Reporting FrameworkOversee the execution and implementation of core processes in accordance with the group-wide statutory reporting framework, in accordance with IFRS, to drive consistent internal reporting and data submission in order to produce accurate, compliant statutory and regulatory disclosures.Financial & Statutory ReportingPrepare consolidated financial and statutory reports by collaborating with Platform Finance teams to ensure compliance within wholly owned Mubadala investee companies, for review by the Vice President, Statutory Reporting, to produce accurate group-wide financial disclosures.Provide quicker and more insightful reporting as per the timelines set by managementDevelop regulatory returns and quality assure the data used as inputs into these returns in order to validate the quality and integrity of financial information gathered and to assure the quality of statutory and regulatory disclosures.Governance SupportIdentify and recommend opportunities to enhance or improve the finance governance manual, in order to embed best practice statutory reporting practices and drive consistency in reporting.Implement all relevant functional policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled consistent mannerPeople Management and institution buildingSupport communication and engagement with external stakeholders (auditors, regulatory bodies etc.) in order to develop and submit regulatory-compliant disclosures.Collaborate with Platform Finance teams to identify, investigate and resolve reporting issues in order to assure the accuracy and integrity of data provided from investee companiesAdvise and provide guidance on statutory reporting requirements to Platform Finance and investee companies, and escalate more complex issues as required, in order to build financial and reporting capability across investee companies.Manage all consultants and auditorsTransforming Mubadala operating modelProvide input into and support group-wide finance initiatives and projects in order to continuously improve group-wide financial capabilities and to drive improvements in statutory reporting quality and efficiency.Policies, Systems, Processes and ProceduresContribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of functional systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practice’ in order to improve business processes, productivity and operational efficiency.Management ReportingContribute to the preparation of timely and accurate functional reports to meet Mubadala’s requirements, and the functional requirements, policies and standards.Personal and Professional DevelopmentIdentify and act upon opportunities to further one’s knowledge of, and exposure to, Mubadala’s financial operations across COEs in order to develop one’s own professional capabilities.Support the development of more junior colleagues by providing shadowing opportunities, coaching and feedback in order to build capability within the departmentRelated AssignmentsPerform other related duties or assignments as directed.What will you bring:To succeed within this role, you will bring a strong mix of practical experience, technical skills and business skills, including the following:Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in financial and statutory reporting roles within large organizations.Strong consulting and audit background, ideally gained in a Big 4 or equivalent firm.Fully qualified Chartered Accountant.What we offer:A superior platform to grow your career including:Great working environment with talented colleaguesHybrid working and wellness benefits to help you live your best work and private life.Opportunity to grow and develop through learning and experience.Excellent work culture enabled by our values of Accountability, Inspiration, Integrity & PartnershipMubadala has an engrained working culture, enabled by our values of Accountability, Inspiration, Integrity & Partnership.
