We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as a keen eye for detail and accuracy. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support financial planning.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and clients.
- Conduct regular audits of financial transactions and processes to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing recommendations for improvement to management.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices, ensuring the company remains compliant.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey financial information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Familiarity with local tax laws and regulations in the UAE.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
