We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as a keen eye for detail and accuracy. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information effectively.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations.
  2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  3. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support financial planning.
  4. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and clients.
  5. Conduct regular audits of financial transactions and processes to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  6. Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing recommendations for improvement to management.
  7. Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
  8. Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  9. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices, ensuring the company remains compliant.
  10. Provide training and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  5. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey financial information clearly.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  8. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  9. Familiarity with local tax laws and regulations in the UAE.
  10. Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
