تفاصيل الوظيفةSenior Accountant – Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Review and ensure accuracy of the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Monitor and maintain chart of accounts and financial records.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for management review.
• Support annual audits and collaborate with external auditors.
2. Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Oversee AP & AR cycles, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and supplier payments.
• Verify supplier invoices, contracts, and supporting documents before posting.
• Coordinate with operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies, credit notes, and customer claims.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables.
3. Costing & Revenue Control (Logistics & Freight Forwarding Focus)
• Review freight invoices, cost sheets, and job profitability reports.
• Ensure correct posting of freight, customs duties, handling, transport, and other logistics expenses.
• Validate sales invoices, revenue records, and job closure procedures.
• Identify cost variances and improve margin control.
4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow reports.
• Monitor bank balances, transfers, LCs, TRs, and credit facilities.
• Ensure timely payroll, rent, utilities, and statutory payments.
• Liaise with banks for account management and financing arrangements.
5. Compliance & Internal Controls
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and prepare monthly/quarterly VAT filings.
• Implement strong internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, budget controls, and approval workflow.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and support risk management activities.
6. Budgeting & Forecasting
• Assist in annual budget preparation and periodic forecast updates.
• Compare actuals vs. budget and report deviations to management.
• Provide financial insights to support business decisions.
7. System & Process Improvements
• Utilize accounting and ERP systems (ZOHO)
• Improve financial processes for speed, accuracy, and compliance.
• Support digitalization and automation of accounting tasks.
8. Team Collaboration & Leadership
• Guide junior accountants and review their work for accuracy.
• Coordinate with operations, sales, HR, procurement, and management teams.
• Provide training and ensure high accounting standards across the department.
9. Arabic speaking is preferred.
