We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in the hardware and building materials industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support our business objectives. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data, preparing reports, and assisting in budget preparation. You will work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable, and receivable.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis to identify trends and variances.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analytical support to departmental managers.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and coordinate audits with external auditors.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and best practices.
- Provide training and support to junior accounting staff as needed.
Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience as an Accountant in a similar industry, with a strong understanding of financial principles.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with a strong aptitude for technology.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
