Full-Time Accountant – Wellness & Retail Group (Colombian Concept)
Location: Dubai, UAE
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Up to AED 5,000/month
Reports To: CEO
About the Businesses
Our group operates two intertwined yet distinct entities:
- Wellness Center – a Colombian-inspired post-operative and post-partum massage and wellness center offering tailored recovery treatments.
- Retail Brand – a retail shapewear and wellness product line complementing the clinic’s services.
While now operating as separate businesses, both currently share a bank account, staff, and operating resources, requiring precise and transparent accounting controls to ensure proper separation of financials.
Role Overview
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accountant who can take full ownership of bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and financial reporting across both entities. The ideal candidate can untangle intertwined ledgers, maintain accurate daily postings in QuickBooks, and deliver insightful monthly reports that help management understand gross margins, improve profitability, and tighten cost controls.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Reconciliation
- Post daily journal entries and match all bank transactions in QuickBooks to the appropriate Company.
- Record invoices, receipts, and outgoing payments with clear categorization per business.
- Reconcile shared expenses, payroll, and related-party transactions between the wellness and retail entities.
- Regularly clean up and maintain accurate balance sheets for both businesses.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Record, make, and monitor all vendor invoices, credit notes, and outgoing payments.
- Track client payments and ensure all receivables are up to date.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
3. Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare monthly P&L and BS statements for each entity with commentary on performance.
- Track gross margins and identify cost improvement opportunities.
- Provide recommendations on policies or processes to reduce inefficiencies.
4. Cash Flow & Budget Control
- Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts for both entities.
- Track shared cost allocations (rent, utilities, payroll) with accuracy and justification.
- Flag anomalies or unrecorded liabilities promptly to the CEO.
5. Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain orderly documentation of all invoices, contracts, and reconciliations.
- Support and file quarterly VAT filings and financial audits.
- Assist management in preparing clear SOPs for accounting, payments, and expense approval.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting (multi-entity experience preferred).
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
- Skilled in inter-company reconciliations and related-party accounting.
- Highly organized, detail-driven, and proactive communicator.
- Comfortable working independently and managing priorities under limited supervision.
- Experience with wellness, clinic, or retail sectors is an advantage.
