Note that this position is based out of our Al Ain office.
- Lead the finance back-office team, providing guidance, training, and fostering a high-performance work environment while implementing strategic plans for improvement.
- Oversee global Accounts Payable (DOC HO & Outstation, Non-Doc PO based, Non DOC - Non-PO, Technical, Concur Staff expenses, DT claim, IOU advance, Petty cash, Corporate credit card) Accounts Receivable, and Bokkeeping functions Bank reconciliations, Supplier reconciliations, Procurement). Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, utilizing financial systems and tools to streamline operations and driving automation and digital transformation initiatives within the Finance/Procurement back-office.
- Collaborates closely with the Senior Manager and head office implant staff within GBSS to manage various Management Information Systems (MIS) and provide analytical support for decision-making. This involves offering insights and recommendations based on financial data to aid strategic planning and operational efficiency. This crucial role in ensuring that accurate and timely financial information is available to support business decisions.
- Responsible for releasing daily dashboards, addressing exceptions, and ensuring that staff are adequately available to handle daily input volumes. This includes monitoring workflow, managing resources, and maintaining a high level of operational readiness to meet the demands of the business. The Finance Manager's efforts are pivotal in maintaining smooth financial operations and supporting the overall objectives of GBSS.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and support for financial operations, work with stakeholders during the internal/ external auditors, vendors management, addressing and resolving any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.

Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree/Diploma in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is typically required.
Relevant Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a focus on quality assurance or process improvement.
Management Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, overseeing financial processes and teams.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in the Airline industry required
