Job Description
- Oversee the daily work of the accounting team and make sure everything is correct and follows company rules.
- Prepare, check, and review financial statements and reports to make sure they are accurate and sent on time.
- Create and apply accounting rules, procedures, and internal controls to protect company assets and improve efficiency.
- Lead the yearly audit, communicate with external auditors, and handle any issues they report.
- Watch and manage cash flow, budgets, and forecasts to support the foundation’s financial health.
- Supervise and guide the accounting staff, helping them grow and improve their skills.
- Work with other departments to give financial advice and support their plans and activities.
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger tasks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years and up to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.
- Proven experience in managing accounting operations within a foundation, or similar organization is preferred.
