Job Description
- Oversee daily accounting operations for all retail branches, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Supervise the month-end and year-end closing processes and prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Monitor, review, and reconcile accounts, including inventory, payables, receivables, and store cash reports.
- Analyze retail sales performance, gross margins, and cost variances to support decision-making.
- Ensure full compliance with internal control policies, taxation laws, and external audit requirements.
- Coordinate with store managers and supply chain teams to validate inventory movements and stock adjustments.
- Prepare periodic financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, performance, and continuous process improvement.
- Collaborate with internal departments (HR, Procurement, Operations) to enhance financial workflows and optimize cost efficiency.
- Review and approve payment cycles, journal entries, and all financial documents related to retail operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong experience in retail accounting is highly preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Leadership capabilities with the ability to manage teams and meet strict deadlines.
