- Manage and monitor all accounting operations related to construction projects, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare, review, and analyze project budgets, cost reports, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Track project expenditures, ensuring all costs are allocated correctly and within approved budgets.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to verify and process invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and project-related transactions on a regular basis.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports specific to construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for construction-related transactions.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to project billing, contracts, and change orders.
- Contribute to process improvements and the implementation of best practices in construction accounting.
