We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our dynamic IT Services team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the financial health of our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and assisting with audits. You will also collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
  2. Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  3. Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
  4. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial analysis to support business decisions.
  5. Collaborate with auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances for management review.
  7. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary tax filings.
  8. Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  9. Provide training and support to junior accounting staff as needed.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar financial role.
  2. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  3. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  6. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
