The Taxation Specialist at Nawy Real Estate plays a crucial role in managing tax compliance and planning activities.
This position requires a strong understanding of tax regulations and the ability to analyze financial data to ensure the company's compliance with tax laws while identifying opportunities for tax savings.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure accurate and timely filings.
Conduct tax research to keep abreast of current tax regulations and interpret their implications for the company.
Assist in the development of tax-saving strategies and provide recommendations to the management team.
Maintain tax documents and records for audit purposes and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Support the finance team in accounting for income taxes, including preparation of tax provisions.
Collaborate with external tax advisors and authorities as necessary.
Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and assist in the resolution of tax-related issues.
Provide training and support to staff on tax-related matters as needed.
Monitor and evaluate changing tax laws to ensure compliance and assess impact on the organization.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
1-3 years of experience in tax compliance or tax accounting.
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations affecting real estate.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
