Job Summary
The Risk and Internal Audit Director ensures that the function is closely aligned with industry best practices in executing the duties
across the Group’s operations. Works to ensure roles, responsibilities, and results are efficiently coordinated and collectively optimizing the effectiveness of risk management, control, compliance and governance of the Group.
Job Responsibilities 1
Develop the department strategy in line with the Company strategy to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing strategies across the Company.
Ensure that related strategic plans are developed and implemented and aligned with the vision and mission of the Company.
Oversee the development and implementation of policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of the function so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to stakeholders.
Oversee the consolidation and recommends the department budget and monitors financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Attend Audit Committee, Board and EXCOM meetings as required, including presenting on requested topics and participating effectively.
Provide assurance to the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee on the adequacy and effectiveness of controls and compliance with approved operational policies and procedures covering the different functional areas through maintaining a high level risk assessment, recommending effective corrective actions, while submitting periodical reports regarding the various aspects of non-compliance.
Establish risk-based plans to determine the priorities of the internal audit activity, in it being consistent with strategic business goals and objectives, and to ensure that a disciplined approach to controlling risks is maintained.
Organize, plan, and implement audit assignments in the context of assurance and consulting services to the Company.
Review assignment plans and working papers and reports prepared by Internal Auditors to ensure compliance of the same with all pre-defined rules and regulations.
Job Responsibilities 2
Discuss the findings with management and issue the final reports once completed.
Perform investigations based on internal, external or whistleblowing requests and issue formal reports that includes weaknesses identified, responsible people (if applicable) and corrective action to be taken.
Monitors compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant objectives. This includes conducting regular reviews and assessments, as well as reviewing documentation and records.
Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures that improve compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant objectives.
Manage compliance reporting including preparing reports for regulatory agencies and senior management.
Lead the investigation of all compliance issues by determining and identifying the root cause, and developing corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate closely with other departments within the organization, such as legal, human resources, and finance, to ensure that compliance is integrated into all aspects of the company's operations.
Oversee and manage all credit card and cash reimbursement reviews and approvals in all companies within the Group.Proactively inform senior management of significant risks or exposures related to internal controls, compliance, and/or governance requiring attention.
Perform Internal controls assessments as approved by the Audit Committee and lead efforts to mitigate identified control deficiencies.

Job Knowledge & Skills
Strong background in internal audit procedures, analyzing internal control gaps and preparing reports
Experience in executing assignments and in handling multiple tasks and deadlines
Working knowledge and experience of International Professional Practice Framework of Internal Auditing and International Financial Reporting Standards
Knowledge, implementation, and accurate execution of audit methodology.
Working knowledge and understanding of process audits, fraud examinations, compliance and risk management.
Working knowledge and understanding of vendor sourcing and management, Logistics, warehousing management, Supply Chain, planning and procure-to-pay processes.
Working knowledge and experience with data analytical tools, specifically related to SAP data.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience
Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
