How You’ll Contribute (Roles & Responsibilities)

As a Finance Accounts Payable Specialist – Associate you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Processing supplier/subcontractors invoices and ensuring timely settlement within the agreed credit term as per the contract.
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders (internal PwC teams and external suppliers) ensuring processing deadlines are met.
  • Review & process of Vendor invoices including ensuring PwC standards and governing tax regulations compliance.
  • Verification of the accruals of the supplier/SME invoices before processing the payment, reporting and coordinating with project managers/support.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance of wider Academy team with finance engagement trackers and controls.
  • Preparation of the purchase orders for general business operations.
  • General ledger review and ensuring transactions are correctly allocated to engagement trackers.
  • Processing of reclass journals in relation to adjustments required on a monthly basis.
  • Raising inter-territory bill’s between PwC entities when necessary.
  • Petty cash custodian including maintenance of the cash float and reporting.
  • Processing of other payroll instructions and coordinating with HC finance to ensure timely payment.
  • Maintenance of the finance records and other adhoc tasks - (preparation of reports/schedules).

What You’ll Bring

  • Masters degree in Finance or an equivalent professional qualification
  • ACCA or equivalent
  • 1-2 years experience in a finance role

Technical Skills :

  • Accounts Payable end-to-end processing, including invoice verification, accruals, payments, and reconciliations
  • Strong knowledge of VAT / tax compliance and adherence to internal controls and PwC financial standards
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel for reporting and reconciliations
  • General ledger accounting, journal entries, intercompany billing, and purchase order management

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes and meet strict processing deadlines
  • Effective stakeholder communication skills, with confidence liaising across internal teams and external suppliers
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset to identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactively
  • High levels of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
