Title: Accountant (Part-Time Consultancy)
Program: Conflict Resolution Program
Reports to: Country Representative
Location: Palestine Field Office, Ramallah (20 hours/week)
Contract: 9 months starting February 2026
Summary:
The Accountant will support the Finance team by collecting, organizing, and reconciling financial reports for all six members of a consortium project. This role is responsible for ensuring that all financial documents are properly named, reviewed, reconciled against financial reports, and consolidated into a single, accurate report in compliance with organizational and donor requirements (European Union).
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather on a monthly basis supporting financial documents (invoices, receipts, vouchers, payroll records, etc.) from partners.
- Name, label, and organize the supporting documents properly according to established filing conventions
- Review documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with financial guidelines
- Reconcile supporting documents with partner financial reports and internal accounting records.
- Identify discrepancies and follow up with partners or internal staff to resolve issues.
- Consolidate reconciled financial data and supporting documentation into one comprehensive financial report
- Maintain orderly electronic and/or physical filing systems for audit readiness.
- Support audit and financial review processes as needed.

Education & Experience - Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, finance, or a related field OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
- At least 3 years of financial or accounting experience in Palestine, including within an INGO.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of related financial experience.
- Experience with computerized general ledger systems is required (MS Dynamics and QuickBooks are preferred). Experience in international business transactions is preferred.
- Previous experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit support.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Experience reconciling financial documents and reports.
- Proficiency in Excel and basic accounting systems.
- Ability to manage multiple documents and meet deadlines.
