Job Description
- Participate with Top Management in El Ahlyia’s annual strategy meetings, set the annual corporate objectives, ensure cascading & alignment of the department strategic objectives within the overall company strategic plans. Obtain approval from CEO.
- Cascade the approved departmental objectives to each section head, oversee implementation & report results periodically.
- Review & approve the annual departmental plan. Presents the department’s budget for approval, ensure compliance and reports variations periodically
- Review the consolidated company budget, present to CEO & obtain approval from the Board/Chairman. Monitor compliance & recommend corrective actions in case of deviations.
- Follow up on implementation and issue financial reports and analysis that support decision making.
- Approve the department’s policies and procedures as per company bi-laws & industry regulations, and ensure they are constantly being exercised.
- Continuously revise and approve El Ahlyia’s pricing strategy, ensuring “factor” calculation incorporates variables pertaining to the company’s position as well as market conditions to guarantee maximum profitability.
- Steer the company to ensure its financial health while achieving its strategic objectives. monitor key financial indicators & execute/present corrective measures.
- Monitor cash flows to secure working capital & maintain a strong cash position.
- Review & approve the monthly financial statements. Present to CEO for final sign-off. Present to internal (Board) or external (auditors) stakeholders when needed.
- Conduct performance appraisal sessions with immediate subordinates and ensure that the performance evaluation process is carried out on time and in an efficient and objective matter.
- Identify the development plans and training needs for the immediate subordinates. Liaise with HR on the execution and evaluate its success.
- Identify the positions needed in the Finance functions to finalize the yearly recruitment plan for the department and collaborate with HR to carry it out in a timely manner.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or an MBA with a focus on finance is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable. Experience
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably as a Finance Director or Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
- Experience in the medical devices or healthcare industry is an advantage.
- Extensive experience in financial planning, budgeting, treasury management, accounting, and tax management is required.
- Proficiency in financial management software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP), budgeting processes, and treasury operations.
