Job Description
- Keep inventory records precise and ensure prompt entry of data
- Address inventory discrepancies and promptly resolve any issues
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct routine inspections to confirm precision
- Reconcile raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, and manage inventory valuation and cycle counts. Create thorough inventory reports to be reviewed by management.
- Examine inventory expenses and discrepancies to assist in making financial choices
- Work together with the purchasing and warehouse teams to optimise inventory procedures
- Help with inventory-related tasks during the monthly and yearly closing processes.
- Establish and uphold Inventory Management Protocols. Make sure to follow company policies and adhere to accounting standards
- Offer advice and suggestions for improving inventory efficiency and lowering costs
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs, preparing monthly cost reports and variance analyses (actual vs. standard/budget).
- Participate in annual budget preparation and rolling forecasts, monitoring expenses to identify saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to optimize pricing, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Maintain cost ledger, update standard costs in ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics), and improve cost accounting processes. Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Minimum 6 years in general accounting practice, inventory and cost control
- Proven experience as a Senior inventory and cost control Accountant or similar role. preferred worked in contracting companies.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics). preferred Odoo system
- Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and lead accounting teams.
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or ACCA) is a plus.
