Job Summary:

The job holder is responsible for performing general accounting duties such as preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules, ledgers, accounts, and bank reconciliations while assisting with monthly closings and account analysis.

-Job Roles and Responsibilities:

1.1 Record and maintain accurate accounting entries.

1.2 Assist in bank transactions, including transfers, interest accruals or interest received, and associated fees.

1.3 Prepare daily cash position reports.

1.4 Record all business transactions by accurately posting and processing journal entries.

1.5 Process general ledger operations.

1.6 Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

1.7 Support in processing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements.

1.8 Review and process expense reports.

1.9 Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.

1.10 Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.

1.11 Maintain up-to-date financial data in databases for immediate and accurate access.

-Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.

Experience: 0 to 2 years of proven experience in a similar field.

1.2. Analytical Thinking: The ability to tackle, identify, and resolve financial discrepancies and issues through logical data evaluation.

1.3. Teamwork: The ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a positive attitude in groups to achieve common goals and objectives.

1.4. Organization Skills: The ability to organize and manage financial data, resources, and tasks through systematic workflow structuring, categorizing data, and maintaining records ensuring clarity, accessibility, and operational efficiency.

1.5. Time Management: The ability to efficiently prioritize tasks, plan schedules, and multitask to meet deadlines. Achieve timely completion of duties while handling multiple accounts, transactions, and other responsibilities simultaneously.

-Technical Competencies:

Proficiency in English and Arabic, French is a plus.

Proficiency in MS Office with a strong emphasis on Excel.

Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

Knowledge of accounting systems or ERP software is a plus.

The job requires office attendance and respecting the company’s working hours
