Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant you will oversee the complete financial lifecycle of logistics operations, from tracking shipment-related costs to managing agent reconciliations. This role demands proficiency in accounting software and excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Verify and approve supplier invoices from carriers, port authorities, and transporters.

- Provide financial analysis and recommendations for cost control and profitability improvement.

- Prepare and review the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.

- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensure timely invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.

- Supervise bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and daily treasury functions.

- Assist in internal and external audit preparations and tax compliance filings.

- Implement and maintain effective accounting systems, procedures, and controls.

- Partner with operations and sourcing teams to analyze inventory, variances, production costs, and capital expenditures.

- Assist in the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.

- Ensure correct revenue booking based on service completion and industry standards.

- Manage VAT filings, customs duties, and local labor-related taxes.

Key Skills & Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/CMA is a plus

- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a logistics company

- Deep understanding of logistics terminology and import/export documentation.

- High attention to detail and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Expert skills in Microsoft Excel for managing large datasets from multiple shipping sources.

- Experience supervising junior staff and coordinating cross-functionally with sales and operations teams
