We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong French accounting knowledge to join an international organization based in Dubai.

The successful candidate will play a hands-on leadership role across accounting operations, financial reporting, controls, and process optimization, while working closely with senior management and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform day-to-day accounting operations, including:

  • General ledger management

  • Intercompany reconciliations

  • Accounts receivable monitoring and collection follow-ups

• Lead and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring:

  • Accurate cut-offs

  • Accruals and provisions

  • Deferred income and prepaid expenses

  • Provisions for doubtful debts

• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the fixed asset register, including depreciation policies

• Guarantee full compliance with:

  • French GAAP (Plan Comptable G n ral)

  • UAE / Dubai regulations, including VAT and Corporate Tax

• Manage and coordinate relationships with:

  • External auditors

  • Accounting firms

  • Tax authorities

• Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and financial forecasts

• Provide financial oversight on:

  • Receivables management

  • Credit risk assessment

  • Overdue balances and exposure

• Deliver advanced financial analysis, management dashboards, and reporting to senior leadership

• Design, implement, and continuously improve accounting processes and internal controls

• Act as a key owner of finance systems / ERP, leading system improvements and optimization initiatives

• Coordinate and support cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between finance and operational stakeholders

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) preferred

• Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role, ideally within an international or multi-entity environment

• Strong knowledge of French GAAP is mandatory

• Solid understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax

• Experience managing audits and external advisors

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights

• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and process-driven mindset

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Fluent in French and English
